    Beaded Royal Coronet   Yoruba, the name Yoruba appears to have been applied by neighbors to the kingdom of Oyo, the  Yoruba people accepted the term to designate their language and ethnicity in relation to other major ethnic groups. They have more than fifteen subgroups. They reside in West Africa mostly southwestern Nigeria, The Republic of Benin, and Togo. The Yoruba land is roughly the same size as England, diverse from tropical rain forest to open savanna. In 2008 the Yo;p[[ruba people has been estimated to be 21% of Nigeria's population. Their language belongs to the Kwa group of Niger-Congo language, it is very divergent and has different dialects.
